Disclosure Day
If you have seen the new Steven Spielberg movie Disclosure Day, you will have witnessed the main character, played by Emily Blunt, experience what many people do when feeling unfulfilled, undervalued, insignificant, and uncertain about what to do. They change what they can control, their job, the city they live in, or their relationships.
Blunt's character, to the frustration of her boyfriend, was constantly moving to new cities in search of something that she had always had but lost sight of in her job as an on-air weather personality: her purpose.
It isn’t until, through a series of out-of-this-world events that Spielberg puts her through, that she starts realizing her purpose… to help us all know the truth, a fitting purpose for someone who is saving the world from government and corporate conspiracy and…an on-air weather personality.
In true Spielberg fashion, with aliens, government conspiracies, and dangerous car chases, he makes his point that we all have a purpose, a reason for being on this earth to make it a bit better than how we found it. Luckily for you, clarifying your purpose does not mean fighting the bad guys, being shot at or having your car pushed onto the tracks of an oncoming train; it can start with a workshop.
